Lake Tahoe during winter is Incredible

We arrived with my family to California in July 2019, after we moved from Miami, Florida. You know, hot weather, beautiful beaches but flat, flat flat. Since we are originally from Chile, a country full of different geographic conditions, the opportunity to travel the Lake Tahoe was something that we can’t refuse. Christopher, my boss, invited us to spend a few days in this amazing place.

The first thing that I remember was Donner Pass.

Freaky Fact:  Donner Pass was named for the Donner Party, who in November 1846, found the route blocked by snow and was forced to spend the winter on the east side of the mountains. Of the 81 settlers, only 45 lived – some of them resorting to cannibalism to survive (Source: GoTahoeNorth). Eeewww.

The view from the Highway is hard to explain, at less you take a 360° photo like to next one. I hope you like it.

After you arrive to Lake Tahoe and if you would like to enjoy the snow, I would recommend a place close to Spooner Lake – Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park (Source:Google Maps).

This place is excellent for kids Only be aware that it is next to the route and there’s a lot of cars passing by, be careful.

Let me show you a short video about this place.

Well, I hope you like the idea to travel to Lake Tahoe. Believe, you won’t regret.
